Family-run since 1984

Our story

A neighborhood breakfast house on South Kolb Road, run by the same family for more than forty years.

The Joe’s Pancake House storefront on South Kolb Road, its blue-and-red sign reading ‘Joe’s Pancake House — Family Restaurant’ under a clear Tucson sky.

Joe’s Pancake House opened its doors on June 14, 1984. More than forty years later, we’re still family-run and still in our original spot on South Kolb Road in Tucson.

We pride ourselves on doing basic breakfast right: buttermilk pancakes off the griddle, eggs cooked to order, hash browns and coffee that keeps coming. Come on in and give us a try. You may love what everyone else loves about us too.

Over the years our regulars have made us a Tucson favorite, and readers of the Arizona Daily Star have voted us a Best Breakfast winner more than once.

  • It’s the quintessential American diner, but with a Tucson twist. We go for the very large portions, fresh ingredients and friendly service.

  • I love this little place… the food is cooked well to order. The prices are also very reasonable, especially the daily specials.
